This is Bordercrash number 100!

What happened was, I started pretty strong.  A few years ago, I posted one strip per week, did my best to meet my own deadline, and learned a lot about drawing/graphic design/lettering/writing.  After a while, I was able to look back at a body of work and evaluate what I liked and what I didn’t.  A fan or two started coming to the site.

Then a baby and a full-time job came along, and I just stopped for over a year.  No more updates, no more fans, no more momentum.

Now the baby is a toddler and I don’t have to work full-time any more, or at least not full-time at a job I don’t want to do.  So I’m back in the saddle, with a missed deadline here or there, and a hastily-thrown-together strip or two uploaded at the last minute.  Like this one.  I wrote and drew my landmark 100th strip in about an hour and a half.  It may not be pretty, and it may not be the right way to celebrate a milestone, but it is finished, and I can spend the rest of the evening drawing a project that is more likely to make some money.  More details about that one as it nears completion.

So I’m happy.  Bordercrash #100!  As a person who has started more projects than finished, even a quickly-drawn milestone, posted in obscurity, is a major win.  I wrote and drew a hundred of these strips.  A Hundred.  A HUNDRED!
